Hand built by me out of high-fired stoneware clay.
Partially glazed with beautiful black and white matte glaze.
This duo of vessels is named after old Norse gods.
The Goddess Sol ("Sun"), is the personification of the Sun in Nordic and Viking mythology, she has a brother who is the God Máni ("Moon"), the personification of the Moon.
Black & White can be also perceived as female and male energy - In Chinese philosophy, Yin & Yang is the symbol of dualism concepts - "dark-bright", "negative-positive", "fire and water"...
